About Us

Decorus Lacuna is a Sheffield-based team of writers, proofreaders, editors and transcribers that works with commercial, individual and charity clients around the world.

Each member of the team has a degree from a UK university, at least three years professional wordsmith experience and a passion for working with words. We employ writers with backgrounds as diverse as possible, ensuring we always have someone available to take on new projects - no matter how unusual or obscure the subject.

We work with an extremely diverse range of clients, working with words for online and print publication, proofreading and editing text for manuscripts, websites, sales copy and tender documents, and providing transcription services for universities, corporate clients and charities.

Our regular clients range from web designers to heritage museums to further education students, and we provide the same level of service to all of them.

Regardless of the type, scope or topic of the assignment, our emphasis remains firmly on quality. We don't write nonsense text, we don't churn out copy and we don't rush jobs.
